A native of port city of Chittagong, Bangladesh. She received her undergraduate degree from Chittagong College, Bangladesh, and her medical degree from Chittagong Medical College, where she also completed her Internship in Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University at Buffalo, New York in 2010. She had served as a chief resident in her final year of residency. She then joined the Immunology lab at Roswell Park Cancer Institute as translational research fellow under mentorship of Professor Myron Czuczman from 2010-2011. Her research was focused on effect of small molecule ABT 737, Bcl-2 inhibitor on anti-apoptotic machinery in Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She joined the fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Minnesota in 2011 and completed in 2014.
Dr. Malik is triple Board Certified by the American Board in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. She is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and American Medical Association (AMA).
Dr. Malik’s hobbies include Cooking, gardening and traveling.
