Nanette received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Allegany College of Maryland. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, as well as her Masters of Science in Medical Surgical Nursing. Nanette went on to obtain her Post Masters certification from the University of Maryland as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner in 1997, prior to her Family Nurse Practitioner Post Masters from West Virginia University in 2006.
Nanette is licensed in South Carolina as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and is board certified by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has had extensive training as a wound, ostomy, and continence nurse, and has worked in a wound center with hyperbaric chamber therapy. She has also worked in such settings as a city hospital, VA clinic, skilled nursing facility, and a psychiatric hospital. She is a member of the Grand Strand Advanced Practice Nurse Association, the Academy of Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nurses Association.
Her hobbies and interests include traveling, hiking, biking, college sports, and reading.
