Dr. Touloukian appointed to the Commission on Cancer

Emily Touloukian, DO, oncology and hematology physician with Coastal Cancer Center was appointed to the Commission on Cancer. The Commission on Cancer (CoC) is a multidisciplinary consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care. Established by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) in 1922, the Commission plays a leadership role in ensuring and measuring quality cancer care nationally. “I am honored to have been appointed to the Commission on Cancer. I feel very strongly that working with physicians from multiple specialties is the cornerstone to providing high-quality cancer care,” says Dr. Touloukian. “The Commission on Cancer challenges us to hold ourselves to high standards and creates a venue for improving outcomes in cancer care.” Coastal Cancer Center is a community cancer center of excellence located in Myrtle Beach, Loris, Conway, and Murrells Inlet.
