Dr. Patrick Francke
Dr. Patrick Francke is a distinguished Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist, bringing over two decades of clinical expertise to his practice. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Before that, Dr. Francke earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University Of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY.
Throughout his career, Dr. Francke has made significant contributions to the field, publishing and lecturing on various topics, including Gynecologic Oncology, Lung Cancer, and Brachytherapy. He is recognized for his dedication to research and has been actively involved in numerous committees and panels within professional organizations such as the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). Moreover, he has affiliations with the American Brachytherapy Society, American College Of Radiation Oncology, American College Of Radiology, American Medical Association, American Society For Therapeutic Radiology And Oncology, Broward County Medical Association, and the Florida Medical Association.
His outstanding achievements have garnered well-deserved recognition, including honors such as Cum Laude at Western Kentucky University and being voted Top Oncologist in Myrtle Beach. Dr. Francke’s notable publications showcase his involvement in cutting-edge research, with topics ranging from the benefits of rectal separation for prostate radiation therapy to innovative approaches in the delivery of high-dose radiation for intermediate- to high-risk prostate cancer. His dedication to advancing cancer treatment and improving patient outcomes continues to set him apart as a leader in the field of radiation oncology.
Dr. Francke’s extensive career encompasses roles as a dedicated practitioner, educator, and leader in various medical settings. Most recently, he served as the Medical Director and Radiation Oncologist at GenesisCare, which has transitioned to Coastal Cancer Center Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Francke’s extertise extends to various specialties, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image- guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT).
